Meet Cara Davis Anderson, program director of apprenticeships.
Cara Davis Anderson, the program director of apprenticeships at Build Carolina, discusses the growth and evolution of the apprenticeship program. The program aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers by providing education and on-the-job training. Over the years, the program has expanded to include specializations in software engineering, data analysis, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. One highlight of the program is the opportunity for apprentices to develop and pitch their own project ideas. The program has also received a grant to expand its reach to Orangeburg County in South Carolina. Cara shares her passion for working with individuals with diverse needs and her experience of being on stage with Prince in high school.
